Dear conference participants.

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to all delegates who have arrived here in Cambridge. We hope you are having a great conference and, in time, we will develop this website into a legacy site containing photos, stories and the full videos of the show and the hot seat.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you at the parallel sessions throughout today and gathering with you to celebrate the week at our farewell party in the Peterhouse Scholars' Garden this evening.

If you are attending an industry tour on Friday:

  • Meeting time for all tours is 7.30am
  • Delegates must check-out and completely leave the college accommodation rooms BEFORE they set off for the industry tours on Friday. If they forget to hand back the keys, they will be charged for an extra day. Places will be allocated based on preferences and availability of places on each tour. It may not always be possible to meet your preferences and there is no guarantee of a tour.
  • Once the total number of tour places have been filled, additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
  • Photography will be restricted on tours.
  • Suitable clothing must be worn, including closed toe shoes, and appropriate long sleeves and trousers.
  • Cambridge tour return time will be 5pm. All others will return between 6 and 8pm (depending on traffic)

We would also love to invite you to upload your own favourite photographs of the week. You can do so by logging in and navigating to the 'Add photos' page and they will all be viewable on the Delegates' Gallery page.

A huge thank you to all the local school students who attended our opening lecture on Monday and asked such fantastic questions to test the knowledge of the delegates. You can see a small taster of some of the responses here.

The International Conference on the Technology of Plasticity (ICTP), known as the 'Olympics of metal forming', will be held from 17 - 22 September 2017. The conference will be hosted by the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. This is the first time ICTP has been held in the United Kingdom.

ICTP is where the world’s leading researchers share their most important advances, where theory meets advanced practice and where the insights of the most experienced practioners become the inspiration for the next generation.

In addition, delegates will have an unparalled opportunity to explore this famous and beautiful university city. Accommodation will be offered in the historical Colleges of the University.

There can be no better way to experience the atmosphere of Cambridge, than to stay in one of the beautiful old Colleges. We offer a unique opportunity for delegates to stay in six of the most historic Colleges.

If you would like to be kept up to date about ICTP2017, please subscribe for updates. Opt-out instructions are included in each e-mail. We will not pass on your details to any third parties and will only contact you a maximum of 8 times between now and 2017.
