Department of Engineering

ICTP2017 will take place in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Main sessions will all take place in the lecture theatres in the department which is centrally situated on Trumpington Street.
The Department is marked by the red pin on the map below.

Cambridge Corn Exchange

The opening plenary sessions will take place in the Cambridge Corn Exchange, about 800m from the Engineering Department and one of Cambridge's most popular arts and entertainments venues. As the name suggests, the venue was originally a hall where farmers and merchants traded in grains. Even while it still fulfilled this function, the large hall was used for events ranging from concerts to motor shows. After a full refurbishment and conversion, the Corn Exchange was officially opened as a dedicated performance venue in 1987. ICTP2017  will open here with a public lecture and performance on Monday 18th September 2017.
The Corn Exchange is marked with a blue pin on the map below.

Peterhouse Scholars' Garden

Conference lunches will take place in a marquee in the beautiful gardens of Peterhouse College, just next door to the Engineering Department. This will provide a peaceful environment where delegates will be able to relax and network during breaks. The gardens will be linked to the department by a bridge, specially designed and built for the occasion.
The gardens are marked with a green pin on the map below.
