Getting around Cambridge

Walking

Cambridge is a compact city and easy to navigate. If you are staying within the city, you will be able to walk around the beautiful centre and to all conference venues in just a few minutes.

Cycling

Cambridge is often described as the cycling capital of the UK. Many locals cycle everywhere and this is by far the quickest way to get around. Delegates and accompanying people are welcome to hire bicycles from one of the many outlets in the city, at their own risk.

Bus

There are bus services throughout Cambridge, including between colleges and the main conference venues. A return ticket (Day Rider) can be purchased with cash from the driver. If you are staying further out, we have excellent Park and Ride services which operate daily.

Please be aware that Cambridge's heavy traffic can make bus journeys longer and less reliable.

Car

We would not recommend any delegates drive. Parking can be difficult and expensive and the roads get very congested, particularly during the rush hour. Much of the city centre is pedestrianised, making access difficult.

If you are staying outside the city and are arriving by car, we suggest you use the Park and Ride service.
